Matthew the human bailing machine!

On Monday I took Matthew to Grandma Tina's and Grandpa Darrel's . He had been wanting to help grandpa bail for a long time, and this was finally his chance. He was in the tractor bailing for about three hours and grandpa said he was very interested in how things worked and asked if he could bail all by his self when he got bigger. Matthew with the finished product.
I guess he's not a true farmer because he wouldn't s it on the bail unless we put the blanket on it so he wouldn't feel the prickels.
Matthew and his dirty face and the John Deer bandanna.
After he was done bailing Matthew had some pumpkin and gourd seeds to plant.
Carefully placing the seeds in the dirt.

Fargo Zoo

Our friends Brady, Jill and Drew took a trip to the zoo with us last week. It was sponsored by AAA so it was free for all of us to get in.
Abby on the carasol. It was her first time on one and she loved it.
The kids getting an up close look at something.
The kids with there prizes the got at the end of the night. Its very hard to get three kids to all look at the camera at the same time, so this was the best shot.

The fair

I decided to take the kids to the fair during the times when you could get in for free one day. It was supposed to be kids day with Dora the Explorer there and face painting and things like that. Well, Dora was there and the line to see her up close was about 3 miles long. Thankfully Matthew was just fine with just walking by her and seeing her that way. I didn't tell Matthew about the face painting thankfully because we never did find that stand. Anyhoo , here are a few pictures of the things we did find.Matthew and the train.
Matthew trying his hand at football at the army stand. I think it was the army anyway.

Cute But Messy!

These were taken a few weeks ago. This is one of the kids having a little snack at a little pull of rest area by Twin Valley. Matthews favorite thing to do is have picnic's .
After we got home from the picnic the kids decided to play in the water that had totally taken over our sidewalk. There were having so much fun that I just pretended like Abby wasn't wearing some brand new clothes and getting them all dirty. No worries all the mud stains did come out.
Its always important to sweep and rake the sidewalk when its full of water.

Matthew sings the ABC's

Matthew goes to Vacation Bible School!

Last week Matthew went to VBS for the week. He had a really fun time and made lots of cool projects. On Friday he had a VBS program. He started out ok and then the breakdown happened. I ended up going and sitting on stage and doing the program with him. Lets just say he was not the only kid who had a breakdown and I wasn't the only mom on stage.

Matthew relaxes in the new swing

The other day Matthew refused to take a nap, and I just didn't feel like fighting that battle that day. I suggested that maybe he should lay down in the new swing. Well........He was asleep in minutes looking very comfortable.

Matthew's First Trip To The Dentist!

So Matthew had his first dentist visit today. It was supposed to be a "Happy Visit" as they call them. He decided to bring his leopard from Uncle Tim with and his cars magna doodle to keep him occupied. He was doing so well and didn't seem to care a bit about the dental assistant looking in his mouth, so she decided to take it a step further than a ride in a chair and counting his teeth. She decided to actually clean them, after that went so well she gave him the fluoride treatment even. I thought he might gag at the , but he didn't care at all. All in all it went very well. He did have two cavities and since he did so well, he even had one of them filled today! I was and still am so impressed.!Matthew showing the dental assistant (Missy) his stuff he brought with.
Matthews first ride in the dentist chair.
Getting the teeth cleaned, Oops she found a cavity.
Matthew getting the fluoride treatment. He liked this cuz she let him hold the sucker thing. I wish I could be excited to hold the sucker thing!

Fun at Buffalo State Park

On Sunday Buffalo State Park had there annual day where you can get in for free, so we took the kids out to play in the sand and water. Matthew was also testing out his new swimming lesson moves. (I think he needs a few more lessons!) Matthew watering the flowers.
Abby loved being in the water, shes a brave one so we really had to watch her.

C,mon Abby lets got for a walk on the beach!
Abby loves her snacks, (yes, Todd, like her mom) she managed to eat most of this box of peanut butter crackers.

Abby get to be alone with Mom and Dad!

Every time Abby gets to be alone with Todd and I she is just in Heaven. This last weekend Matthew got to go fishing with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Wanda so Abby had alot of alone time with us. We took her to a park on Saturday and she had a blast. Todd and Abby, both looking so innocent!
Love her little pigtails.

Rummage sale finds a hit with kids!

As you all know I love to go to garage /rummage sales and get all sorts of good crap. This past weekend I found a few things that were total hits with the kids. They each got there own apron for our house and also I found tons of cool dress-up clothes. Abby has to grow into hers a little, but heres a picture of her I couldn't refuse in her princess dress. Kids in there new aprons.
