Getting started on Christmas gifts
What time is it anyways?!?!?!
I told Matthew when the hands are both on the Monster Trucks he can get up. He was eager to hang it in his room, and I'm eager to see if it actually works. Thanks for the idea Molly!
Horse rides and a look around my garden
Next is my lettuce. I haven't had any of it yet, and probably won't but now I can say I've grown lettuce. It wasn't the kind that I originally wanted. Maybe I'll try it sometime though. :)
Then one of the more exciting things I saw was this little watermelon. The vines have been growing an flowering like crazy but I had yet to have any actual watermelons for until today! I only saw the one but didn't look around to much because I had to break up a fight over strawberries!
Here are Matthews sunflowers. he planted three different mounds of seeds and they just opened up yesterday. He is so proud. He goes and checks them every day with me and wants to water them himself!
Then we have my tomatoes. I have quiet a few of them coming and it seems like even more are coming. Thats good, because I ran out of spaghetti sauce last year. This is the first one to change to red.
Here are a few pictures of the kids at Grandma Tina and Grandpa Darrels farm. There neighbors have horses and Matthew had been asking for weeks if he could ride one. They happened to saddle them while we were there last and both kids got to ride.

Man's Best Friend
Tuesday, August 4, 2009
A few weeks ago we spent a lazy Sunday at Grandma Tina and Grandpa Darrel's farm. The boys had a water fight, while Abby watered the flowers. The kids and Todd and Grandpa took the canoe out for a spin down the river.
Note: Thats not a real duck on the side of the canoe its a decoy the found.
Matthew getting someone with the hose.

Odor from office food cleanup forces evacuation, sends 7 to Calif. hospital, sickens dozens

SAN JOSE, Calif. - An office worker cleaning a fridge full of rotten food created a smell so noxious that it sent seven co-workers to the hospital and made many others ill.
Firefighters had to evacuate the AT&T building in downtown San Jose on Tuesday after the fumes led someone to call 911. A hazmat team was called in.
What crews found was an unplugged refrigerator crammed with moldy food.
Authorities say an enterprising office worker had decided to clean it out, placing the food in a conference room while using two cleaning chemicals to scrub down the mess.
The mixture of old lunches and disinfectant caused 28 people to need treatment for vomiting and nausea.
Authorities say the worker who cleaned the fridge didn't need treatment — she can't smell because of allergies.
I don't want to have to read about you in the paper, so clean your fridge people. And if its moldy throw it away, don't just cut the mold off and call it good!
