Picking Tomatoes

Last week the Great Grandma Gladys, Grandma Wanda, and the kids and I went out to a farm to pick tomatoes.
Abby and Matthew had a great time.
Matthew is trying to get the tomatoes to stay in his shirt, just like Grandma Wanda.
Matthew and Abby on the dirt road back to the van. Matthew is such a little farm girl. The boots we had with for her were way to big so we took them off and shw walked barefoot. She didn't even care.
I canned salsa, stewed tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, and pizza sauce out of the tomatoes. This is about 1/4 of the stuff we got out of the tomatoes!

Ummmm......

As cute as she may be, she does cause some trouble. Today she has climbed out of her crib twice, so I guess we have to have her sleep in the toddler bed which is not going good by the way. Its ten at night and she is still up!

Matthew being weird, again! I have so many good senior slide show pictures already.
I made this tag blanket for a friend of mine, and also the Boppy cover below. I was impressed with myself, cuz the cover even has a zipper sewn into it!

It rained on our Parade!

Last weekend we went to the Abercrombie Days parade. It rained the whole time and everyone and all the candy was soaking wet. All the kids had a great time though.
Matthew waiting for the parade to start.
Abby could care less about the parade after she found a sucker in her bag.

Honkin Haulin Trucks!

A couple of weekends ago the West Fargo Park District put on a thing called Honkin Hauling Trucks. They brought in a whole bunch of different kind of machines and trucks and the kids all got a "drivers license" and the could go and "drive" any and all the trucks and machines that they wanted. This was really fun for both kids.

As you can see from the look of the sky in this picture it rained on us a few times, but all the kids there had fun anyways.

Cute Pictures!

On one of the last rainy days we had the kids and I headed out to West Acres to look around and play on the Dino's. Matthew loves to go to the bookstore and look at the books. Here are Matthew and Abby sitting at the kid sized table looking at the books. I seem to remember someones grandpa Darrell liking to go to the bookstore at the mall and look at books too! Hmmm
The family went to Crusin Broadway the last week they had it for the year to go see Grandpa Joe and his corvette. This is Matthew and Todd looking at all the old cars.

Matthew and Abby were snuggled together with the lantern watching cartoons on our bed one day.

Some random things to post.

I put this picture on here just for my dad. He really wants on of these Japanese pickup trucks. This on was for sale in some small town on the backroads home from Grandforks. And its camo, perfect for dad.
This is a weird picture I know. I had to post it though, becase of the fall like weather we've been having Todd and I decided to have Chili for supper last night. It hit the spot.
I had to take a picture of Abby with pigtails in, because this was the first time in months she has let me put them in, and actually left them in all day. So cute!
So I've been reading our friends, the Ronnevicks blog and Gretchen has been inspiring me to get out my sewing machine, especially since the weather is cooler out now. Anyhoo..... I made this wipe and diaper case today. It needs a little fine tuning, because the pattern was free on the internet and the measurements may have been off or something. Anyways, it came out pretty good. It holds one diaper and a travel wipes. The next one I plan to make it able to hold two diapers.

Jamestown and Grandforks

Over the Labor Day weekend Todd, Abby and I went to Jamestown and Grandforks. This is a railroad bridge I thought was neat in Jamestown.
Abby and Daddy at the Bridge in Jamestown.
Abby also had her first bubble experience in Jamestown. Todd captured this cute picture while I blew bubbles.
Most of the family at the big Jamestown buffalo. For those of you wondering, Matthew was with Grandma and Grandpa.
A nice pedestrian bridge in Grandforks. We rode big over many trails this weekend there, and all the pedestrian bridges were like this. We rode over 12 miles that day in very windy conditions.
