Thanks Uncle Tim and Auntie Laura!

Thanks for passing down your old Dino's to me Uncle Tim. I slept with it at nap today and brought it to all the stores also. (And yes, he does have his finger in his nose while he is sleeping and I have no idea why!)
Thanks Auntie Laura for the Spring dress! It was finally nice enough to sport a spring look yesterday, so I wore it to church, and didn't take it off the rest of the day!

The new look for Spring '09 is............

WATER BOOTS!

I think we will be seeing a lot of these for a few weeks!
Since it was going to be so nice out again to day the kids and I went to get some Bubbles and Sidewalk chalk to play with outside. The kids loved it, and so did I.

Paci Update

Its GONE! Thanks to all of you who gave me advise on how to correctly snip the end of a paci. It worked great! I snipped it a week ago Sunday and she has not wanted anything to do with it since. Don't get me wrong Abby has still asked for her paci and we give it to her and she just gets mad and dosen't want it. One night when I was up wit her she told me her paci "fell down the stairs and broke." So anyhoo.....Its GONE!

Kitchen Project.................

So since we painted the trim white in the dinning room we had to paint the cabinets too. Well, we didn't have to but it looks alot nicer. We did this during the blizzard and I got the wrong type of roller cover so we kind of did it twice. The picture above is what the cabinets looked like before. They are sanded in this picture, but you get the just of it.

So we painted the cabinets and after three coats on almost everything we realized it was just peeling off with any little touch, so we put up the plastic barrier and sanded everything! It was a big job.

Sanding everything made a big mess, so we had to vacuum it good and wipe it down before painting again.
This is what it looks like now from the hallway. Still a little more painting but not to much. We are probably going to get new counter tops and make a little place for stools.
Kitchen and dining area. Picture is a little dark sorry.

House Projects Galore!

We have done so many house projects in the last couple of weeks that I don't even know where to start! I tore up the carpet in Matthew's room finally only to find that it was covered in black tar like glue! Aaahhhhh! So after two days of scrapping it off with a putty knife its finally all off.
Then we had to have steal beams put in our basement along one wall, as they were caving in on us, so that meant we had to clean out our two storage areas, which is always fun. So while we had it all out I had Todd build me those shelves for all the tubs and stuff. Love them, Todd always does such a good job building me heavy duty shelves.
Then we decided to finally get rid of the old floor in the kitchen and dinning and whatever room and replace it with laminate wood flooring. Its SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!
Matthew helped by taking all the flooring pieces from one pile and making another pile with them. He thought that was really special! After we did that we realized we needed to do something with the trim, so the next project is painting all the trim upstairs white and getting white doors and probably painting the kitchen cabinets white! Anyone feel like painting?

The hall closet when you come in the front door also got an over haul. I wanted something to organize all the shoes, yes most of them are mine! I didn't like anything you could by in stores as none of it would fit Todd's shoes, so again I had Todd build me this and we painted it white. The little cubbies are for each persons gloves and hats and stuff and one extra for misc stuff.

Cuteness and Abby's artwork!

I walked into the living room the other day and found the kids like this. So cute, and no they aren't like this all the time. Looking at the Paci in the picture reminds me that I cut Abby's tip of her paci tonight before she went to bed. I've heard from a few of our friends that this has helped break the paci so we are giving it a try. She still used it after I cut it, but noticed that something was wrong with it, and Todd said she went to bed with it in her hand, not her mouth. Wish us luck!
So Abby made some really pretty artwork on the toilet the other day. Its made out of toothpaste, I'm sure she could make a tutorial for your kids if you want.
Abby next to her artwork, she was really proud!

Fargo Force Game

A few weeks ago we decided to try out the Fargo Force. We really aren't into hockey at all, and I don't have any idea how it all works, but we wanted to see the new stadium so away we went. Abby was really excited about getting popcorn which almost cost more than our seats! So here she is with her popcorn.
Matthew getting a snapshot with the Force guy.
The kids and Todd. Matthew was pretty excited when we told him we were going and watched for a while, but in the end we all got pretty bored. It was fun to see the stadium, but I don't think we'll be paying to go to another game, now free we might consider!
